This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. The Energy Center Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Powerhouse including the delivery of all utility systems for the site operations and for the development and execution of site Facility/Utility related capital projects. The Manager of the Energy Center provides support and guidance for the Energy Center Operation with necessary Plant Engineering support for all related equipment and facilities. This position manages utility operations and provides supervision to the Energy Center personnel.
What You’ll Work On
Plan, assign and direct operational and preventive functions for the Energy Center, including outages and shutdowns.
Coordinate utility work with contractors’ plant, division, corporate engineering, city municipalities and utility companies.
Monitor utility performance, plant demands and provide usage reports, to the maximize utilization.
Supervisor utilities and wastewater to ensure compliance with environmental agency, and any federal, state, and local regulations.
Assist operations and engineering in meeting production schedule commitments, minimizing unplanned operating downtime, ensuring goals are met and supporting efforts to develop new processes.
Ensures compliance to local, state, and federal regulations governing the manufacture of medical, nutritional products including GMPs.
Manage the IPP (Industrial Pre-treatment Plant) and treatment plant personnel.
You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering Degree
3 years’ experience in a supervisor role.
7 years’ experience multi -skills in utility operation and maintenance including, but not limited to HVAC, compressed air, electricity, instrumentation, boilers, steam generation, refrigeration (ammonia/chillers) water analysis, chemical treatment systems, and RO operations.
Food or beverage manufacturing.
Management Experience

The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
