UL, LLC Senior Field Engineer in Carugate, Italy

As a Senior Field Engineer you will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Certification Inspections: Performs safety and non-safety certification inspections, analyzing test results against UL standards.

  • Technical Judgment: Uses technical judgment to determine compliance and evaluate acceptable alternatives.

  • Communication: Communicates with manufacturers, customers, and authorities to conduct inspections and resolve issues.

  • Verification and Calibration: Verifies the accuracy of manufacturers’ measuring instruments and calibrates UL-supplied equipment.

  • Documentation: Documents inspection results and maintains logs for scheduling inspections, time, and expenses.

  • Continuous Improvement: Integrates continuous improvement concepts and participates in reviewing customer quality programs.

  • Technical Assistance: Provides technical assistance in various product categories and inspection methods.

The main activities will involve the following areas:

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited university through a formal program of study in Engineering or relevant Engineering Discipline (such as Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics, but not limited to these disciplines only).

  • Four years of directly related experience.

  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Detailed knowledge of the third-party certification inspection process.

  • Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.
