The Role

The Sr. Manager of Business Operations reporting into the Mass Markets Technology organization will be a motivated and adaptable individual who will support the leadership team as they execute against defined priorities. The Sr. Manager of Business Operations will act as a strategic advisor, a problem solver, a communicator, and a facilitator for the Mass Markets Technology organization to drive growth and create operational efficiencies. This individual will help Mass Markets Technology leadership identify the areas where they must direct their focus and streamline activities to achieve their goals and objectives. The person in this role is someone who fosters a culture of collaboration, excellence, and innovation within the organization.

Location and Schedule

This is a Work From Home Position in the United States.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Supports leadership to define and communicate the vision, mission, and goals of the organization, and align the team and the resources to achieve them.

  • Assists leadership with the daily operations of the organization, such as managing the budget, the staff, the projects, and the risks.

  • Coordinates, manages, monitors and evaluates the performance and progress of the organization against its goals and objectives.

  • Leads or supports strategic initiatives and projects that span across the organization or involve multiple departments or functions.

  • Acts as a liaison between leadership and internal/external stakeholders, such as executives, employees, customers, and partners.

  • Defines and executes direct and extended leadership staff meeting agendas, including bi-weekly staff meetings, off-site staff meetings, the cadence and content of town halls, 1:1 reviews, and operational reviews.

  • Represents leadership in meetings and events when needed and communicates the vision and decisions to the team and the stakeholders.

  • Ensures leadership is thoroughly prepared for all external and large internal meetings; manages necessary prep calls, ensures prep information is consolidated into a digestible format, etc.

  • Anticipates, identifies and resolves issues, challenges or conflicts that may arise within the organization and/or affect leaderships agenda. In addition, identifies and acts on opportunities to improve the agenda.

  • Provides advice and feedback to leadership and the team on various matters and ensures expectations and standards are met.

  • Responsible for driving and preparing executive and external communication plans and strategies; regularly creates and submits data, reports and presentations.

  • Maintains and keeps strategy presentations up to date.

  • Manages internal communications strategy (intra-org and on behalf of the org – partnering with the Senior Manager of Communications.)

  • Partners with Executive Assistant to coordinate leadership’s calendar to align with internal and external priorities.

  • Partners with HR on people planning (work force planning, location strategy, org structure management, and people metrics).

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of related experience in a similar role with a Bachelor’s degree

  • Proven track record of success in an operational role where executive priorities are translated into actionable plans that can be tracked

  • Experience with Business Operations and Planning, Business Transformation and/or Management Consulting

  • Must possess an executive presence with strong communication skills, both interpersonal and presentation skills (verbal and written)

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and experience in engaging a variety of the functional teams

  • Highly analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills a must

  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder management situations

  • Attention to detail across a broad range of contexts and topics

  • Excellent planning abilities to meet the needs of the business

  • Must be adaptable and able to handle high pressure in a fast paced and evolving environment

  • Must coordinate and orchestrate effectively in a matrixed organization

  • Able to quickly create connections organization-wide

  • Ability to synthesize data for executive consumption

  • PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$111480 - $148630 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$117340 - $156450 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$123210 - $164280 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$129080 - $172100 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
