The role of an Application Support Engineer focuses on maintaining and supporting software applications to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and facilitating application updates
Responsibilities
Application Support – Monitor Digital Services health and triage prod issues
Testing support and defects triage in NPE
Building telemetry – Dashboards and alerts
Offshore/nearshore Coordination
Work with Tier 2 team
Participate in both internal/ client call to represent team and collect feedback and improvements.
Qualifications
6+ years of Software development/ Application support experience.
API background is a must. Experience on cloud-based infrastructure, strong knowledge of any one API gateway technologies (Apigee, data power, Mulesoft etc.), Restful APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and related protocols and standards
OAuth knowledge with different grant types. Knowledge and experience in JWT token implementation for Authentication/Authorization will be a plus.
TLS/ MTLS knowledge
Knowledge of any one IDP (Okta, Azure – will be preferred).
Able to create/update an automated way to deploy APIs (CICD). Gitlab knowledge is a must.
YAML and swagger knowledge is a must.
Expert in programming/ scripting languages and tools to automate wherever possible (java, python, ruby).
Drive API analytics, generate custom reports, integrate with external tools like Splunk, and perform performance tuning for optimal results.
Grafana experience is a must.
Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans to resolve issues.
Telecom domain experience/ knowledge
Good Communication skills.
Good Analytical and problem solving skills.
Self-driven and out-of-box thinking.
