The Vetting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the vetting process for new hires and contractors, ensuring thorough federal background processing and assessments documents are completed in compliance with security protocol and organizational standards. This role directs a team to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and timely, by providing direction and support, delegating tasks, setting expectations, monitoring performance, delivering coaching and training, resolving conflicts, promoting accountability, and ensure policy compliance.
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
Essential Functions:
- Support the Vetting Manager with all vetting operations and eAPP processes on CBP sites
- Oversee vetting submissions to ensure proper procedures are followed, work is completed accurately, timely and meet compliance standards
- Assist with internal and external audits by reviewing documents for accuracy to ensure that all vetting submissions comply with federal regulations, legal requirements and CBP policies
- Work with HR, legal and compliance teams to resolve vetting issues and discrepancies and take appropriate action as needed
- Maintain confidential records of vetting activities and results and ensure the secure handling of sensitive information
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and policy changes designed to improve efficiency and user experience
- Coordinate with federal agencies to share information and resources
- Assist with creating SOPs, presentations, and other training documents
- Provide ongoing communication and support to resolve any disputes that may arise between all relevant departments
- Troubleshoot data issues and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiencies focusing on excellent Vetting-Government experience
- Partner with Deployed Services, Deployed Resources, and internal business partners
- Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in Office 365, One Drive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
- Understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing employment vetting and data protection
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to multitask
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organization skills
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree is preferred; related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Three plus years relevant work experience in background screening, vetting or security related fields
- Two plus years in a supervisory role
- One year experience conducting pre/post-employment background checks and investigations required to work on federal government contracts, including experience with the eAPP Process
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a drug test and a background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
