Stout Excavating Group Skilled Laborer - General Laborer (Carrizo Springs) in Carrizo Springs, Texas
Job Title:
General Laborer Carrizo Springs
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, overtime and weekend work are required/necessary12-hour shift, 60 to 70 hours a week.
SHIFT: Two (2) weeks on day shift then rotate to two (2) weeks night shift
Job type:
Full-time
Environment: Sand mining operation (Sandy, heavy labor and hot)
Tasks/Responsibilities
- Able to accept and use clear and concise directions to complete work assignments.
- Ability to work 12 hours a day doing general labor.
- Able to meet deadlines and follow up to ensure quality results.
- Cleaning Screener and around Equipment.
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the jobsite.
- Work with equipment operators to ensure work is done properly.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist coworkers with other duties as required.
- Ability to tolerate work outdoors in temperatures including excess heat, cold and precipitation.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Preferred some experience in the construction industry.
- Strength and endurance, as the position is physically demanding.
- Good eye-hand coordination, balance, and depth perception.
- Effective communication skills.
- A sense of urgency in responding to all situations.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a team.
- Possess own transportation to worksite.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and have professional references available.
