Job Summary

Join Compass Group USA as a Sous Chef and become part of our dynamic food and hospitality team in Carpinteria, CA. This is an outstanding opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and leadership skills in a setting that values excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in coordinating kitchen operations to ensure the delivery of exceptionally high-quality meals.

• Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation standards.

• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menus that align with seasonal and local ingredients.

• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships to maintain a seamless supply chain.

• Train and mentor new kitchen staff, encouraging an inclusive and collaborative environment.

• Ensure flawless execution of meal services, maintaining the highest standards of taste and presentation.

• Implement cost-control measures to optimize the kitchen’s financial performance.

  Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.

• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices, with a passion for crafting world-class dishes.

• Ambitious and determined to compete at the highest level of food and hospitality.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills to successfully implement kitchen strategies.
