Division Description
ITW Electronic Packaging & Components (EPC), a division of Illinois Tool Works (NYSE: ITW), part of Test, Measurement and Electronics segment is industry leading manufacturer and designer of electronic components (insulation, surge protection, LEDs, LCDs) and packaging (tubes, trays, tapes, bags) for high tech companies. EPC division revenues are $250MM per year and has global operations in US, Malaysia, China and Taiwain. EPC division brands include: Formex, Linx, Lumex, and Fastex).
Position Summary:
The IT Administrator is responsible for technology support of EPC US operations:
Infrastructure and network support of the 50,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility
End user support for local and remote staff
Administration of key business applications (ERP, CRM, EDI)
Implementing and managing strong cyber security controls
Managing relationship and work execution through outside IT managed service providers
IT Administrator will work as part of global EPC divisional IT team and partner with Divisional IT Manager to develop and execute divisional IT Roadmap in alignment with key business objectives. During first 12-18 months, the incumbent will be involved in two key initiatives:
Build out (move) of a new manufacturing facility in the Chicagoland area Participate in the phased roll out migration to a new ERP system

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support key business applications (ERP, CRM, EDI)
Support site infrastructure (network, server, telephony, active directory, end user devices)
Maintain inventory of all hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment
Provide technical end user support, onboard and off-board employees
Perform system and application upgrades, to ensure currency and supportability
Deploy patches and security fixes to all managed equipment
Perform data and network backups based on established procedures
Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network problems
Implement, monitor, and report on cyber security directives
Monitor and tune PC, Network and Server equipment for performance
Document and keep all processes and procedures current
Develop and maintain system documentation for changes and enhancements
Provide IT consultation to businesses across the EPC division as needed
Engage with business leaders to build, maintain and execute an IT roadmap to enable aggressive growth within the business.
Participate and/or manage technology project at a site or divisional level as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
3-5 years’ experience as a Network Administrator, Application/Systems Analyst, IT Manager, Business Partner, or similar role
Experience configuring, managing and troubleshooting Windows based operating systems, Active Directory, network and server infrastructure
Experience deploying, upgrading and enhancing critical business applications (ERP, CRM, EDI) in a manufacturing environment (both cloud and on premises)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze workflows and processes to identify process inefficiencies and improvements
Strong understanding of cyber security concepts and application of cyber security controls
Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience in working in a global organization is a strong plus
Relevant business and/or technology education and / or certifications

Compensation Information:
$80k to $100k Annually
