We are looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team in Carol Stream, IL. This is a full-time, temporary position offering a competitive pay rate of $20/hr.

Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM

Job Type: Temporary, Full-time

Job Duties:

Operate Equipment: Safely operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts to transport products throughout the warehouse.

Order Picking & Stacking: Hand-select and pick orders from various warehouse environments (dry, cooler, and freezer). Stack products on pallets according to proper procedures, ensuring safety and organization (e.g., no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing outward).

Labeling & Inventory: Use Sysco Order Selection (SOS) technology to create and apply product labels for order accuracy. Maintain a strong understanding of product placement, inventory control, and picking procedures.

Shipment Preparation: Stage pallets for loading, ensuring products are organized and correctly positioned for delivery.

Safety & Sanitation: Follow all SyscoSafe work methods, report any unsafe conditions to supervisors, and maintain sanitation standards in accordance with company policies and AIB requirements.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre- and post-trip inspections of forklifts and electric pallet jacks, ensuring equipment is in proper working condition.

Additional Duties: Assist with shrink-wrapping products on the dock and any other tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 12 months warehouse experience, including operating forklifts or electric pallet jacks.

Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs regularly and perform repetitive physical tasks (bending, twisting, reaching).

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.

Pre-Employment: Drug screening, background check, and physical abilities test required.

Work Environment: Must be able to work in varying temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer). Overtime, weekends, and holiday work are required as needed.
