Maintenance Planning Manager

Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as aMaintenance Planning Managerto join our team located in Carlsbad, NM.
The successful candidate will provide management direction for the team of Corrective Maintenance (CM) work planners and materials coordinators for Surface WIPP facilities, systems, and equipment. Ensure compliance with applicable DOE Directives and other agency standards and requirements. Review work packages for compliance with site writer-s guide. Serve as the subject matter expert of the Work Planning process established by department procedures. Represent department in outage planning and operational readiness meetings. Facilitate daily Action Request Prioritization meetings with Facility Operations to ensure work orders are prioritized and weighted in line with site needs. Conduct periodic personnel reviews and informal feedback discussions, and annual merit planning. Advise the Work Control Manager of personnel management issues. Address corrective actions as assigned. Coordinate and conduct regular meetings with work planning team. Superior interpersonal skills are necessary for success.
Exempt Salary Grade (36-37)

Bachelor-s degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience, or
Associates degree with thirteen (13) years relevant experience, or
High School Diploma or Equivalency with (17) years of relevant experience is required.
Candidate must possess strong relationship building skills and follow-through on commitments.
Experience managing or using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
Preferred Requirements:
Six (6) years of supervisory experience is preferred.
DOE Nuclear experience is desired.
Previous WIPP Project experience is a plus.

Minimum salary $128,071 per year of a larger salary range --the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate-s relevant experience and education.
