As a major contributor in the Global Supply Chain Team, the Logistics Lead will have the opportunity to collaborate globally and lead the distribution and logistical operations in Carlsbad, CA.

The Logistics Lead is responsible for incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, or equipment to meet customers’ expectations, which involve receiving(import), shipping (export), and inventory/ material control. The role also analyzes trends and identifies the most impactful improvement opportunities using the DBS principle.

This position is part of the Global Supply Chain Team located in Carlsbad, CA, and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop work processes partnering with cross functional groups (Carlsbad manufacturing and Global Distribution Center leader, Planners, Buyers, Product management) to ensure accurate inventory management serving our customer (internal/external) with good quality product delivered on time at the right place.

• Coordinating the transportation and delivery of finished goods for distribution both internally and externally to meet on time delivery goals.

• Inform best practice safety performance level and ensure business complies with all relevant EHS regulations.

• Collaborate with other functions and drive effective and efficient warehouse operations, resolving conflicts, complaints and root cause analysis to challenges identified.

• Primary & on-site point of escalation for all logistics and transportation issues.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering, with 5+ years of directly related experience in Logistics and Warehousing work or 7+ years work experience without a degree.

• IATA working knowledge required, certification for Dangerous Good Declarations highly preferred.

• 5+ years' experience directly related to export documentation, including but not limited to, filing AES, SLI, commercial invoices and manifests.

• Working knowledge/exposure to handling temperature controlled materials. Including but not limited to frozen, super frozen, refrigerated, and ambient.

  Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (i.e. pallet jack & fork lift)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Worked in the healthcare industry.

• ERP experience, preferably in Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or equivalent.

The salary range for this role is between $95,000.00 and $105,000.00 annuallyr. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for incentive pay.
