Description We are searching for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Carlsbad, California. The chosen candidate will play a vital role in maintaining our general ledger, generating and interpreting financial records and statements, as well as preparing budget forecasts. This role will also involve analyzing financial data, maintaining records of various financial activities, and investigating variance issues.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions and accounting data.

• Conduct account analysis and account reconciliations.

• Lead the completion of month-end close process in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

• Prepare financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.

• Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules.

• Assist with preparation of information required for fiscal year-end financial statement audit and corporate tax returns.

• Research and provide opinion on proper GAAP accounting treatment for new processes.

• Keep a strong internal control environment and maintain knowledge of the standards, policies, practices, and procedures of the generally accepted accounting principles.

• Support the implementation of a new ERP system and train key resources.

• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through in a timely manner.

• Manage and mentor accounting staff.

• Handle possible hands-on tasks, AP, AR, Billings, Collections, month-end entries (Accruals, Prepaids, Depreciation, WIP adjustments). Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 4+ years of experience with GL

• Experience with construction/project accounting is a plus (WIP Reporting & Percent Complete)

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance is preferred
