Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintenance within a distribution center. This role involves performing preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment and machinery, as well as reactive maintenance. Candidates will perform both mechanical and electrical repairs on components such as conveyors, motors, belts, rollers, drives, chains, pulleys, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and PLCs (RS Logix 5000).

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs on warehouse equipment and machinery.

• Conduct reactive maintenance as needed.

• Execute mechanical and electrical repairs on conveyors, motors, belts, rollers, drives, chains, pulleys, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components including wire contactors, motor starters, and analog flag sensors.

• Utilize PLCs for diagnostics and repairs, specifically RS Logix 5000.

• Read and interpret blueprints for maintenance tasks.

• Use CMMS systems for work order management.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient maintenance operations.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Ideally 3+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution center setting.

• Proficient in mechanical and electrical repairs and troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of PLCs to check inputs and outputs.

• Ability to troubleshoot motor starters and analog flag sensors.

• Experience reading from blueprints.

• Familiarity with CMMS systems.

• Computer proficiency, especially with RS Logix.

• Team-oriented with strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certification or associate degree from a technical school in maintenance or a related field.

• Advanced PLC troubleshooting skills.

• Leadership qualities.

Work Environment

Candidates will work in a warehouse environment with large conveyors throughout the facility. The maintenance team is divided into three categories: Mechanic I, Mechanic II (current hiring focus), and Controls Tech. Shifts available include a 2nd shift with differential pay. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift for 2-5 weeks. All tools and PPE are provided, and candidates should not bring their own tools.

This is a Permanent position based out of Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $76960.00

$5,000 sign on bonus- candidates must work a full 2 years to not pay back.
