Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Plant 4. This individual will be responsible for planning, laying out, performing, and overseeing various work assignments involving machining, welding, electrical, pipefitting, and general maintenance duties. The role includes installing, erecting, assembling, leveling, and aligning all machinery and plant or office equipment.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute jobs assigned by Maintenance Managers
Order and pick up parts as needed
Make sketches of repair parts for fabrication
Operate shop equipment such as drill press, lathe, grinder, belt sander, and mills
Repair and maintain basic electrical components
Calibrate scales and equipment
Repair Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
Follow maintenance manuals, service manuals, blueprints, and sketches
Perform snow removal and grass mowing during downtime
Essential Skills
3+ years of experience as a mechanic/technician in an industrial facility
Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics
Experience with conveyor belts and forklift repairs
General maintenance skills
Ability to operate all mentioned shop equipment
Adherence to preventive maintenance schedules
Experience working with 480V and 3-phase motors
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with higher voltage systems is a plus
Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical areas

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting with a Class 1, Division 1 rating. Candidates will work in a dirty and dusty environment with potential dust explosion risks. The role may require climbing 70-foot silos. The plant is tobacco-free. We have immediate openings for second shift (M-F 3:30 pm-11:00 pm) and third shift (M-F 11:00 pm-7:30 am). Pay is biweekly with a $3000 sign-on bonus. Safety is a top priority, and extensive safety orientations and training will be provided. There is a 90-day probationary period, with initial training on first shift hours (7:00 am-3:30 pm).
