Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for inspecting lines for leaks, verifying product flow into totes, ensuring totes and nozzles are not leaking, and checking for excessive wear. You will also confirm enough space for cylinders and verify that liquid levels are below operational limits. Additionally, you will coordinate with the supervisor regarding the disposal process, secure the cylinder in the disposal stand, and ensure proper installation. Safety and ergonomics are paramount in this role, requiring the use of proper lifting techniques and adherence to safety precautions to prevent leaks or equipment damage. The cylinders can weigh up to 60 pounds.
Responsibilities
Inspect lines for leaks and verify product flow into totes.
Ensure totes and nozzles are not leaking and check for excessive wear.
Confirm enough space for cylinders and verify liquid levels are below operational limits.
Coordinate with the supervisor regarding the disposal process.
Re-check liquid levels and ensure tanks for disposal are verified.
Secure cylinder in disposal stand, adjust nozzle, and ensure a proper fit.
Attach and clamp the cylinder, apply air pressure, and verify the installation.
Use proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
Follow safety precautions to prevent leaks or equipment damage.

Work Environment
You will be exposed to all weather conditions, including high heat, extreme colds, rain, snow, ice, and wind. The work environment is fast-paced with congested material handling equipment traffic and potential for drafty areas. There is also exposure to chemicals when handling pallets, cans, boxes of adhesive, and raw material chemicals. Pinch hazards from moving mechanical parts on forklifts and truck doors are present. Occasionally, you may need to work in high places using a safety cage.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00
