All candidates must be 18 years and older:
Fresh meat associate duties include packaging various meat cuts for retail sale, maintaining proper product rotation, assisting customers with meat selection, ensuring food safety standards are met, and keeping the meat display area clean and organized, often requiring knowledge of different meat cuts and cooking methods while providing excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities may include:
• Product Display:
Arranging meat cuts attractively on display cases, ensuring proper labeling and pricing.
• Customer Service:
Answering customer questions about meat cuts, providing cooking suggestions, and assisting with selections.
• Inventory Management:
Checking stock levels, rotating products to maintain freshness.
• Food Safety:
Adhering to proper sanitation practices, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment, and following food safety guidelines.
• Packaging:
Weighing and wrapping meat according to customer requests and store standards.
• Grinding:
Grinding meat for ground beef or other ground meat products.
? Unloading Deliveries:
Checking incoming meat deliveries for quality and quantity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong knife skills and ability to operate meat cutting equipment
• Knowledge of different meat cuts and their culinary uses
• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Understanding of food safety regulations
