EMSL Analytical Inc. Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk I in Carle Place, New York
EMSL is seeking a Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk I in Carle Place, NY. This is an administrative support position for the laboratory. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples as well as data entry, filing and call transferring.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Receiving environmental samples and entering Chain of Custody into LIMS software for all laboratory divisionsPerforming intake procedures for packages received via overnight carrier, USPS, courier or walk-in clientInspecting samples to ensure they can be accepted for analysisReviewing customers chain of custody and assisting clients with questions regarding the formAccurately processing client payments and ordersEnsuring proper storage protocol for samples entering the labMonitoring, updating, scanning, and filing records of client projectsPackaging and shipping samples to other EMSL locationsAssisting with client communications via phone and e-mailAct as a liaison between clients and laboratory staffMaintaining a clean workstation, along with assisting the lab with cleaning dutiesRequirements:High school degree or equivalent; associate degree, or some college courseworkOne to three years of customer service experience is highly preferredPrevious experience in handling confidential client documentsProficiency with Microsoft OfficeMinimum capacity of 50 WPMAbility to communicate professionally with clienteleOpen to working with co-workers in a team settingAbility to organize workflow based on priorityDetail orientedMust be able to lift a minimum of 50lbsAvailable Shift:Monday to Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.Training schedule to start will be Monday to Friday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.For consideration, all candidates must apply through our company website: https://phf.tbe.taleo.net/phf02/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition?org=EMSL&cws=40&rid=4328EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account.
