The Software Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing technology solutions that meet both business objectives and customer needs. This individual leads the technical architecture and ensures alignment between the technical framework and business goals. The Solution Architect serves as a technical mentor, providing guidance and expertise in system design, development, and presales activities. With a focus on customer satisfaction, the role requires a balance of both business acumen and advanced technical knowledge to create innovative, scalable, and secure solutions.

What you'll be doing

The Software Solution Architect is responsible for defining and delivering software solutions for clients by closely working with both technical and business teams. This role involves leading the design of technical architecture, driving technical decisions, and ensuring the successful implementation of projects. The role also demands active participation in presales activities, including the creation of technical proposals, conducting workshops, and providing insights into the adoption of emerging technologies. The individual will act as a trusted technical advisor for internal teams and customers, offering guidance on best practices, ensuring the scalability and security of solutions, and managing technical risks.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Create and review software solution architectures to ensure they meet business and customer requirements.

• Evaluate new technologies and assess their potential to improve or streamline customer solutions.

• Lead technical workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.

• Act as a technical mentor/advisor to development teams, guiding them through complex software challenges.

• Support the creation of proofs of concept ( PoCs ) by providing architectural oversight and technical expertise.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation , including architecture diagrams, system specifications, and implementation guides.

• Perform solution design reviews to ensure alignment with organizational standards and compliance with industry best practices.

• Overseeing software implementation , ensuring that the project remains on track with the original solution design and goals.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams , including sales and business development, to build strong customer relationships and deliver winning proposals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

• Deep technical expertise in software architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF and Zachman Framework.

• Strong understanding of software development, system integration , API design, microservices, monitoring, and scalable architecture.

• Proficiency in various technology stacks, such as cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) , containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps tools (Microsoft DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, IaC).

• Extensive experience in Software-as-a-Service ( SaaS ) solutions and architecture.

• Experience with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence ( AI ), Blockchain to enhance software capabilities.

• Proficiency in programming languages , including object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, with string skills in Java, C#, Python.

• Excellent problem-solving skills , with the ability to diagnose technical issues and propose effective solutions.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.

• Customer-focused mindset , with an emphasis on delivering high-value solutions.

• Leadership skills in technical environments, including the ability to guide and mentor technical teams.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.

• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and technologies, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and platforms.

• Strong knowledge of security architecture , including application security principles, data encryption, identity access management (IAM), cloud security best practices, and compliance with regulatory standards like GDPR and ISO/IEC 27001.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications

• Master's degree in computer science , Information Technology, or a related field .

• Required certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Architect).

• DevOps certifications (Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Docker Certified Associate) are a plus.

Required Experience

10+ years of experience in technical roles, with at least 5 years in architecture or solution architecture positions.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale, complex technical architectures .

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms , system integrations, and API design .

• Experience guiding and mentoring technical teams in delivering scalable, secure solutions.

• Good understanding with project management methodologies and experience managing technical deliverables within project constraints.

• Experience in technical documentation creation and maintaining knowledge repositories.
