Adecco US, Inc. Customs Broker in Cape Canaveral, Florida
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Licensed Customs Broker to facilitate the import and export of goods while ensuring compliance with customs regulations. This role involves preparing and submitting customs documentation, coordinating with clients and government agencies, and providing expert guidance on customs processes.
Key responsibilities
· Document preparation:
· Gathering and reviewing necessary import/export documentation such as invoices, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and ensuring accuracy for customs declarations.
· Tariff classification:
· Determining the correct Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code for imported goods to calculate appropriate duties and taxes.
· Customs entry filing:
· Submitting customs declarations electronically to customs authorities on behalf of clients.
· Duty and tax calculation:
· Accurately calculating import duties, taxes, and other fees based on product classification, origin, and value.
· Compliance management:
· Staying updated on customs regulations and ensuring all shipments comply with import/export laws.
· Client communication:
· Advising clients on customs procedures, potential delays, and necessary documentation required for smooth clearance.
· Dispute resolution:
· Representing clients in case of customs disputes, addressing inquiries from customs officials, and seeking solutions to issues like incorrect classifications or discrepancies.
· Logistics coordination:
· Working with freight forwarders, carriers, and other stakeholders to manage the movement of goods through customs.
· Auditing and reporting:
· Maintaining records of customs transactions, tracking shipment status, and providing clients with reports on customs clearance activities.
The ideal candidate will have:
· 3+ years experience
· Current Customs Broker License
· Strong understanding of international trade
· Detailed knowledge of customs regulations

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
