SHIFTS AND HOURS
We have Full and Part Time Staff Positions available for Overnight Shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Scheduled Shifts are 12 Hours, 3 Days per week with shift differentials available
Part-Time LPN Shifts can be flexible according to your own schedule, great if you are completing your RN Course.
All Full Time LPN Rotate Weekend Shifts.
TRAINING AND ORIENTATION
Keystone Treatment Center is committed to Training and Safety. All New Hire LPNs will attend a 2 Day Facility Orientation and Patient Treatment Program Overview before spending 2 Weeks in Unit Orientation with a Preceptor. We can accommodate shadow shifts for interested candidates!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)
Provide and coordinate care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of patient, write and implement medical treatment plans, maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures and protocols,
Ensure physician’s orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure.
Ensure patient’s status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information gathered is documented. Notify physician of significant changes in status
Nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs. Initial treatment plan is completed upon admission.
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from an NLN approved Nursing School
Licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of South Dakota
Knowledge of Chemical Dependency, Rehabilitation and Psych preferred
