Dollar Savings Bank Training & Development Manager in Canton, Ohio
Job Overview: The Training and Professional Development Manager is a professional who analyzes the training and professional development needs of DBSC. This person will ensure that in-house training programs are current and structured to meet the needs of the employee base. The Trainer will research and update study guides, training manuals, and other pertinent information to ensure the team has the compliance knowledge and skills to effectively perform their individual job tasks. This person will work with Dollar Bank's Compliance Training Specialist to assign and track OnCourse training. Working in conjunction with management and the Bank's Professional Development Department, the trainer will develop and conduct educational training programs and materials to enhance employees' performance and increase productivity. The Trainer is expected to exercise a proactive approach tailoring training to meet the requirements of the ever-changing regulatory environment which the Bank operates within. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in education or business-related field required. Will consider commensurate experience. * Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in training or educational processes to include design, delivery, evaluation of core curriculum programs. * Excellent written and communication skills required, including strong presentation skills. * Working knowledge with PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Word required. * Must have project management, time management and superior organizational skills. * Ability to work with staff, peers, and all levels of management using critical thinking skills. * Basic understanding on mortgage and consumer loan products is preferred. * Experience using Sagent LoanServ servicing system is preferred. * Strong sense of ownership of area and self-direction. Principle Activities and Duties: * Developing new and existing employees so they can provide consistently high level of customer service by teaching them to recognize and satisfy individual needs. * Assesses training and development needs for employees in conjunction with management. * Ensures training materials and sessions specifically and accurately address regulatory compliance. * Develops and maintains a training calendar to ensure that required periodic training is completed in required timeframes. * Track training data for overall employee development programs. * Assists with testing/implementation of system corrections, maintenance and enhancements. * Develops internal trainers and supports management in developing and delivering succession management training programs. * The Trainer must prepare tests that establish if the training programs are efficient and effective or not. May develop quality assurance materials to aid in determining whether the training meets quality demands. * The Trainer must continually improve their personal skills and knowledge. This can be accomplished by working with management and departments, reading existing training materials, regulatory websites, participating in trainings or conferences, etc. * Evaluates effectiveness of training programs; identifies and implements improvements. * Communicate with management any training budget needs. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Perform sedentary to light work (able to lift up to 20 pounds from floor to waist, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, grasp, or otherwise move objects). See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; sit, stand, walk, crouch, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
