Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Canton, Ohio, 44718, United States. This role involves managing various HR and finance functions within our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be expected to handle payroll, oversee benefits administration, and manage accounts payable. You will also be responsible for utilizing accounting software systems to ensure efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage various HR functions including maintaining employee records and talent acquisition.

• Process and manage payroll in accordance with state and federal regulations ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

• Administer employee benefits programs and educate employees about their benefits.

• Manage accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices while maintaining proper records.

• Audit and apply cash applications based on the organization’s financial operations.

• Utilize accounting software systems for financial data entry, tracking, and report generation.

• Oversee the onboarding process and support payroll functions through HR management software.

• Develop and implement effective and efficient processes to improve overall operations in HR and finance.

• Ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of all financial and employee records.

• Handle any additional responsibilities related to HR and finance as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce systems

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration

• Proficiency in About Time software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions
