Mechanical Assembler

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal-clad equipment and other power distribution equipment.

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports.

• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical components/parts to correct defects.

• Set up and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

• Install components by reading and interpreting material lists and panel layouts.

• Disassemble finished product, prepare for shipping, and assist in the shipping process.

• Contribute to team cohesiveness and company goals.

• Perform all duties assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

• Capacity to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Proficiency in written and spoken communication.

Work Environment

1st shift: 5:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday. 2nd shift: 3:30pm-1:30am, Monday-Thursday. May be required to work some optional overtime on Fridays. Work is mostly quiet and clean, with employees working independently on different sections of the builds. The company builds substations, switchgear, circuit breakers, bus duct, and many other electrical systems.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00
