Job Summary

Assist in leading cross functional project teams related to system integration. Responsible for assisting with the development and administration of the Chartfield Governance team. Provide project management support of Accounting system integrations and projects.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide leadership and support in the research, development and building of data analytics tools for use in accounting to enhance internal controls

  • Develop and facilitate approval of chartfield (financial data field) policies and processes.

  • Provide advisory services to business units on the use of chartfield policies and processes.

  • Assist in leading the development and delivery of training on chartfield usage.

  • Provide project management leadership and support on accounting system projects for major system implementations related to IT Roadmap.

  • Provide leadership and support of the IT Demand process and Finance and Accounting Governance group.

  • Provide leadership and support of accounting process improvement and integration initiatives utilizing project management methods and tools.

  • Cultivate positive business relationships between Accounting Information Systems team and AEP business partners

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or mathematics.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience which includes: project management, processes and systems related to accounting and finance, such as: general ledger, management reporting, and/or planning/budgeting. PeopleSoft Financial applications or other systems, eg. Maximo, Brainware, and Onbase.

  • PMP preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physical demand level is Sedentary

  • Experience in Accounting preferred.

  • Exposure to and familiarity with the utility industry preferred.

  • Strong competency in written and oral communications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications required.

  • Detail oriented with an ability to employ a logical approach to accomplish objectives and solve issues.

  • Ability to lead multiple projects and adapt to changing circumstances and requirements.

  • Ability to promote a positive culture within a team setting.

  • Ability to lead and manage others.

Compensation Range:

$96,110.00-124,940.00 USD
