Position Description
At a Glance
Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Business Analyst Intern to join the Starline Team in Canonsburg, PA.
Under direction of the Global operational excellence department, the Business Analyst Intern plays a key role in providing business guidance on ERP system, presenting the data to make informed decisions and improve data quality through data governance structure. This global role will help further improve the productivity and on time delivery of operations at all Starline facilities.
The successful candidate will be a trustworthy, self-motivated individual with the necessary mix of technical, business, and interpersonal skills required to work effectively across diverse, global functional teams and all levels of the organization.
Main Job Duties:
• Create Data Models to be utilize in power BI reports
• Assist in Data governance, building new data quality rules and aiding in cleaning the data to these rules.
• Establish working knowledge of existing and needed data.
• Create data modeling standards and practices.
• Work closely with internal customers and functional teams to design business intelligence solutions for decision making.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with a Computer Science, Industrial Systems, and/or other technology related discipline
Experience:
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Experience with SQL.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company including Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance and Executive Leadership.
• Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus, extract necessary information, and prepare executive level content and communication via a host of applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
• Advanced computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PPT/Teams)
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Pivot Tables to manipulate, analyze, and present data.
• Preferred Power BI experience
