Fisher Associates is looking for a motivated and talented entry-level Highway Engineer to join our dynamic Highway Team within the Transportation Group. In this role, you'll dive into the design, construction, maintenance, and management of highways, roads, and transportation infrastructure. Salary Range:$70,000 - $81,000 annually
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.
The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Ability to effectively complete assignments related to highway design, drainage design, alignments, and other duties applicable to these projects.
Assist with field inspections and data collection for roadway projects.
Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
Proactively assist Project Managers and Designers.
Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients.
Maintain accurate records of project details, including design documents, progress reports, and budget information.
Requirements
Education & Experience
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
0-5 years minimum of transportation experience, highway engineering experience preferred.
Intern Engineer certification (IE, formerly EIT) or ability to obtain it.
Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads Software preferred.
