JOB OVERVIEW

OPG is excited to offer one (1) Industrial Millwright student opportunity at our Campbellford, ON location. Please note that this location is not public transit accessible . The work terms are four (4) and eight (8) months in length and will start in September 2024.

As Ontario’s largest clean energy generator, OPG is committed to providing challenging opportunities in a work environment where safety is a fundamental value. Students will be able to apply their knowledge, broaden their skills and make a valuable contribution to an organization that is vital to Ontario's success. The compensation rate for these positions starts at $25.83 per hour and will commensurate with experience.

EDUCATION

Minimum completion of 1st year at a college, specializing in one of the following skilled trade programs:

  • Mechanical Technician - Industrial Millwright

  • Mechanical Techniques - Industrial Millwright

  • Mechanical Engineering Technician - Industrial Maintenance (Millwright)

  • Millwright Mechanical Technician

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

 All students must:

  • Possess a valid G2 drivers license to support a high travel component associated with these positions.

  • Be currently enrolled as a full-time, post-secondary student in a recognized institution.

  • Have completed a minimum of 1st year in college by the start of the opportunity.

  • Have a minimum average of 70% cumulative GPA.

  • Be returning to full-time studies in the same program following the completion of the work term OR require the work term or co-op placement to graduate.
