ManTech Firewall Engineer in Camp Springs, Maryland
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Firewall Engineer in South Burlington, VT; Camp Springs, MD; or in a location to be determined upon offer acceptance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing Palo Alto firewalls, AWS administration, AlgoSec and Cisco StealthWatch, network security, and overall enterprise network infrastructure support.
Provide inventory reports detailing license management for current products.
Coordinate with the appropriate USCIS groups to implement/validate change success.
Proactively address issues, incidents, outages, and security considerations ensuring the stability of network capabilities and provide technical support with existing capabilities and expanded automation.
Work as escalation point to provide resolutions for network and firewall related issues and work with the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) when a firewall / network team presence is requested.
Collaborate with vendors and consultants to maintain and improve upon the USCIS systems under the team purview.
Work within a standard change management process to implement firewall / system changes.
Use Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence and MS Teams to provide transparency and allow information to be visible in real time and to create a unified backlog ensuring visibility into all areas of work and identifying inter-dependencies between teams.
Review, update and collaborate with other EIS contract teams and the federal customer to produce network documentation and system detailed designs utilizing applications like Visio.
Review/approve firewall change requests.
Provide network assistance and expert advice in the resolution of incidents elevated to the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT). The CIRT is responsible to contact and triage the appropriate experts to collectively solve technical issues across the USCIS infrastructure and its applications. Once contacted by the CIRT, the contractor will remain engaged until the issue is declared resolved or the contractor is released by the CIRT.
Perform documentation and timely closure of tickets that have been escalated to the firewall team.
Occasionally after-action reports (AARs), incident analysis reports (IARs), or knowledge base (KB) documents will need to be created.
Minimum Qualifications:
5-10 years of enterprise firewall administrative experience.
Ability and desire to work in an enterprise level, collaborative environment.
Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.
Experience with major cloud providers (AWS preferred).
Required Administrative Familiarity:
Palo Alto Firewalls
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field preferred.
PCCET, PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience
Familiar with tools including: ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, GitHub
Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps and Agile concepts
Experience supporting Government contracts
Familiarity with Panorama AlgoSec
Familiarity use of system(s) preferred:

Solarwinds
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Public Trust and complete DHS security clearance
Ability to obtain DHS EOD suitability
Current DHS EOD highly preferred
Physical Requirements:
