Summary About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain DoD Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities You will serve as a transportation brigade Information Assurance Manager (IAM) and Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) You will establish and maintain the Information Assurance Program (IAP), to include preparing, distributing, and maintaining plans, instructions, guidance and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Support the security of automated information systems (AIS) and for security procedures governing network operations You will review threats and vulnerabilities to assess risk and determines effective measures to minimize such risks You will integrate, implement, operate, and maintain hardware and software, enabling communication capabilities in support of SDDC port operation missions You will manage and oversee all facets of COMSEC operations for the Brigade and Battalions Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement. Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area. Employees who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions. Selectees may receive certain foreign area benefits such as: Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) or government quarters, home leave, etc. Selectees will have their eligibility for foreign area benefits determined at the time of hire in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulation (DSSR) and DoDI 1400.25 volume 1250. Government quarters (fully furnished apartments) are provided. You are authorized to ship up to 350lbs of HHG. The rest may be placed in storage at Government's expense. Shipment and Storage of HHG must not exceed 18,000lbs total.
