Summary About the Position: Perform acquisition oversight functions and implement the Area Support Group - Kuwait (ASG-KU), Operational Contract Support Integration Cell (OCSIC). Provides ASG-KU directorates and mission partners with objectively based information for making decisions on the management, administration, and oversight for command requirements and procurement management. Provides USARCENT directorates and mission partners with objectively based information for making decisions on the management, administration, and oversight for command requirements and procurement management. Provides assistance to mission partners with contract support integration, contract support, contract management responsibilities. Applies experience and knowledge of Federal, Department of Defense (DoD), and Department of the Army (DA) acquisition policies, procedures and processes used to manage acquisition requirements through the acquisition processes and procedures. Plans, coordinates, implements, analyzes, and evaluates acquisition processes and projects which encompass several command functional areas. Prepares reports or briefs contract data progress reviews. Serves as a Trusted Agent Security Manager (TASM). Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-11). Specialized experience is defined as: Provides technical advice to customers during procurement validation planning and post-award to ensure compliance with procurement policies/regulations; 2) Prepares acquisition reports with clearly defined findings to recommend methods of improvement; AND 3) Conducts analyses and coordinates staffing of all internal contract acquisition actions. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contract Management/Support Contracting and Acquisition Sourcing Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Direct deposit of pay is required. U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement. Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area. Employees who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions. Selectees may receive certain foreign area benefits such as: Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) or government quarters, home leave, etc. Selectees will have their eligibility for foreign area benefits determined at the time of hire in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulation (DSSR) and DoDI 1400.25 volume 1250.
