The Opportunity Based in Cameron, West Virginia, and reporting to the Construction Services Team Leader, the successful candidate will join a pipeline construction team focused on welding for structural and high-pressure piping systems. Note: This position requires frequent travel (75%) for pipeline construction activities and may involve extended hours. The minimum schedule will be 10-hour days, 4 days per week.

What You'll Do Perform welding on cellulose (mild steel), low hydrogen, and other construction-related tasks. Participate in pre-job planning and staging equipment and resources. Coordinate and oversee third-party contractors. Weld branch connections on high-pressure natural gas pipelines for hot-tap work. Conduct shop fabrication welding of piping assemblies and hydro testing. Assist in preparing pre-job documentation, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Ensure compliance with TransCanada's Operating Procedures (TOPs), safety, and environmental policies. Support emergency pipeline repairs for natural gas and oil systems. Execute hot taps on high-pressure pipelines. Perform additional tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications Must be 21 years or older. High school diploma or GED. Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL. At least 3 years of experience in pipeline construction or a related field. Experience welding on high-pressure natural gas and/or oil pipeline systems. Strong commitment to safety and tool maintenance. Knowledge of labor, safety, and environmental regulations. Proven planning and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision. Familiarity with company practices and site-specific procedures. Effective interpersonal skills and team collaboration. Time management skills and a willingness to learn. Proficiency with computers for expense reporting and communication. Knowledge of API 1104 welding regulations. Must pass a welding test per API 1104 regulations before hiring.

Preferred Qualifications Post-secondary education in a related field or a welding certificate. Experience with TD Williamson tapping equipment. Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).

Candidates Must: Maintain a valid Class A driver's license with a safe driving record. Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing. Be prepared to travel frequently (75%) to support construction activities, requiring overnight stays.

Driving is an essential function of this role. Following a conditional offer of employment, motor vehicle records will be checked.
