Robert Half Receptionist in Camden, New Jersey

Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Receptionist in the non-profit sector, based in Camden, New Jersey. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, provide administrative support to the staff, and ensure the reception area is well-maintained and welcoming.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors, directing them to the appropriate department or individual

• Handle all incoming calls, providing information and transferring calls as needed

• Keep the reception area tidy and welcoming to maintain a positive image of the organization

• Record details of all visitors, including their purpose of visit and time of arrival and departure

• Schedule appointments for the management team and other staff members as required

• Process incoming and outgoing mail

• Update and maintain accurate records in the organization's database

• Provide clerical support to staff members, including document preparation, copying, and faxing

• Manage office supplies inventory and notify management when stocks are low

• Assist in planning and executing organizational events, meetings, and workshops

• Handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion and integrity

• Communicate effectively with various individuals, addressing their inquiries and solving problems in a satisfactory manner

• Understand and promote the organization's mission and objectives to visitors

• Maintain a kind and friendly demeanor to ensure visitors feel welcomed and appreciated.

Requirements

• Must possess skills in administrative assistance

• Experience in answering inbound calls is required

• Ability to provide clerical support

• Prior experience in receptionist duties is essential

• Must have a friendly demeanor and strong communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be punctual and reliable

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, further education or certifications in office administration are a plus.
