SUMMARY

Maintains responsibility for executing Subaru’s functional integration of Subaru Corporation (SBR)/Subaru of America’s (SOA’s) Electric Vehicle (EV) compliance and production distribution strategy by leading vehicle planning and analysis efforts that help ensure compliance with government regulations. Supports the business strategy for our EV supply chain and ensures it is executed with accuracy. Guides leadership decisions with timely analysis based on an ever-changing regulatory environment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages data compilation for CARB, Federal, and State regulation, strategy, and compliance. Works with SBR, North American Subaru, Inc. (NASI), and Government Affairs to strategically purchase/apply credits to ensure penalties are avoided or minimized.

  • Develops and manages target share strategy for all carlines based on sales performance with consideration of CARB, Federal, and State regulations. Maintains responsibility for this process to ensure optimization of EV inventories in CARB and Federal states.

  • Leads in developing mid-range sales forecast for the Vehicle Planning group. Analyzes the industry vehicle segments to determine the overall sales goal by carline and segment for use by SOA and SBR executives to plan and develop future sales targets. Further consideration of CARB, Federal, and/or State regulations will need to be included for our transition to new powertrains and business models.

  • Collaborates with internal SOA departments and independent distributors (Subaru of New England [SNE]/Subaru Distributors Corp. [SDC]) to integrate EV regulations within each area’s policies and procedures. Manages these EV priorities based on latest regulatory changes.

  • Supports the organizational business strategy of all Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) for SBR/SOA, including Alliance-based vehicles. Guides the on-going progress of SOA’s EV strategy to help maintain competitiveness in the U.S. market.

  • Manages multiple EV projects, coordinates activities, tracks performance, analyzes variances to plan, and works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all goals are met.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes and interprets large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data to assemble a clear picture of EV sales and distribution concerns for executive management.

  • Executes on all necessary Mission BEV activities and actions across the organization.

  • Maintains Alliance EV collaboration efforts between all internal and external key stakeholders.

  • Completes all analysis and/or presentation material in preparation for departmental requests or ad-hoc business needs.

  • Clearly and concisely communicates complex analysis and recommendations to a diverse variety of audiences.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent analytical skills to support critical and time-sensitive decision-making.

  • Strong automotive industry and sales operations knowledge, especially on EV regulation and market conditions.

  • Knowledge of cross functional departments at SOA.

  • Flexibility for constantly changing and challenging conditions.

  • Ability to produce effectively under significantly restricted time and resource conditions.

  • Ability to contend with multiple projects concurrently and manage various priorities.

  • Ability to lead communication across the organization.

  • Creativity and insight to manage short and long-range planning cycles.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Workfront.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4-Year College Degree (BA, BS) and 6-8 years' experience

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Required Travel: 5-10% travel required

  • Prolonged sitting at desk and working on computer

    COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $89400 - $127600 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
