The Work

As a member of the OA team, you will:

Conduct Operations Analysis: Perform in-depth studies through modeling, simulation, and analysis of military systems using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).

Formulate Analysis Plans: Lead or participate in teams to create and execute study plans, focusing on quantifying the impact of operational concepts (CONOPS), system design variants, payloads, weapons, tactics, and force size/mix.

Engage with Stakeholders: Ask critical questions, iterate on feedback, and work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and refine analysis objectives.

Research and Model: Research military systems' performance and operations; model scenarios and systems using AFSIM and other simulation tools.

Execute and Analyze: Conduct trade studies, quantify Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) and Measures of Performance (MOPs), and analyze simulation results using data analytics to draw meaningful conclusions.

Prepare and Present: Develop reports and briefings, present analysis trends, and provide insights to support requirements definition, concept evaluation, and military utility assessment.

Support Cross-Functional Activities: Contribute to digital simulations, virtual reconstructive events, or wargaming activities across various Lockheed Martin business areas.

Please note:

This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government Top Secret/SCI level clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or other technical degree a related discipline, typical experience 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

- AFSIM experience

- Knowledge of military operations, tactics, and organization

- Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD TS/SCI Clearance

Desired Skills:

- Military operational experience

- Project management and leadership experience

- Advanced Technical Degree

- Familiarity/experience with other Operations Analysis tools such as STK, Command PE, ExtendSim and/or Cameo

- Experience with C++, Python and Git/Gitlab

- Expertise in computer-based analytical tools and office applications (data analysis)

- Knowledge of major combat simulations and models, analytical methods, sensors and weapon systems and/or cross-domain operational effects.

- Experience with working in and leading teams

- Familiarity with Agile practices & execution

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
