What You Will Do:
Coach and drive PMO and functional business leaders and their teams to continuously improve their project execution maturity and performance. This includes process implementation/deployment and capability development to support on-time and on-budget project performance.
Integrate lean thinking into processes covering the entire lifecycle of a project, from receipt of purchase order through final installation and acceptance at the customer’s site.
Lead and continue to build the ABM Project Execution Center of Excellence and toolkit. May include processes and tools covering: Bid Proposals, Project Execution Planning, Forecasting, Change Order Management, Customer Communications, Internal Project Communication, Project Governance, and other areas of project execution that can be utilized by ATS business units to achieve on-time and on-budget project performance. Provide central governance and be the organization-wide expert in these tools and processes.
Work closely with business unit & corporate leaders to define and implement project execution KPIs and develop strategies to maximize impact on these metrics.
Lead/coach PMO and other business leaders and their teams to install and drive ABM Fundamentals: aligned metrics, impactful Daily Visual Management, structured Problem Solving, and breakthrough Kaizen events to sustain and improve project execution performance.
Engage, educate, and coach employees formally and informally across all levels on positive behaviors that build the culture of a “winning team” through leadership, process discipline, and continuous improvement.
Drive the continuous improvement of the ABM Project Execution toolkit through both internal and external benchmarking of best practices and processes.
Assist business leaders in establishing and achieving Goal Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives focused on project execution priorities.
Provide expert facilitation for Kaizen events and other ABM engagements related to project execution.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, engineering or equivalent preferred.
8+ years in Project Management roles with experience owning project financials and project execution processes
Completion of Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
Demonstrated success managing multiple large and/or complex projects concurrently, adequately managing margin, schedule, and scope creep.
10+ years’ experience leading cross-functional teams, preferably in an automation or systems integration environment
Experience using foundational lean tools, structured problem solving, and Kaizen events to drive change
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with deep experience in project management processes and demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement in project performance
Able to clearly and effectively communicate project management principles and their impact on project performance
Financial acumen with a solid understanding of business financial metrics and percentage of completion (“POC”) accounting.
Superior communication skills, including being able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including where English is not the primary language
Proficient in Microsoft Office tool suite; experience with Project/Program Management software a plus
Willingness to travel up to 50% to our global sites
