The Mushroom Company Line Inspector in Cambridge, Maryland
- Turn the line on to ensure it is running properly. Notify supervisor about any equipment failures.
- Make up collection boxes for clumps.
- Inspect finished products for any foreign material.
- Pull off any mushrooms not suited for the item being run.
- Help assist in washing downs.
- Clean floor during any line stoppages and at the end of each shift.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Notify supervisor of any foreign material findings. Or any other quality or food safety issues are observed, notify your immediate supervisor.
- The production supervisor will provide coverage or designate appropriate personnel in the absence of this person.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assure correct code of mushrooms have been delivered to line by what was scheduled.
Dump baskets of mushrooms in the line hopper, always keeping full.
Place empty baskets under line equipment to catch any debris from raw material and retrieve trash cart from scrap room.
Visually inspect for foreign material, gloves, paper, wood, etc. Notify supervisor.
Restack all empty baskets.
Clean the floor during any line stoppages and at the end of the shift.
Start and stop line equipment at the request of supervisor.
Notify supervision of any electrical or mechanical failures.
Other duties as assigned by supervision.
Relieve other employees for breaks and lunch time.
