Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bariatric Dietitian to join our Bariatric Surgery Program. This is a flexible hybrid position, offering both in-person and virtual appointments, with a customizable schedule to fit your work-life balance. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive nutritional management to patients preparing for or recovering from bariatric surgery. Responsibilities include conducting initial nutritional assessments, follow-up care, and delivering individualized and group nutrition education. You’ll serve as a resource and subject matter expert in bariatric surgery for both hospital staff and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities: • Provide personalized nutrition counseling to a culturally diverse adult population, both pre- and post-bariatric surgery. • Conduct 1-on-1 and group educational sessions, both in person and virtually. • Collaborate closely with the Bariatric Coordinator, Psychologist, and the Medical Director of the Bariatric Surgery Program to ensure high-quality care. • Play a vital role in maintaining the program’s accreditation and assist in quality improvement initiatives. • Work with the medical weight management and pharmacy programs within CHA’s dynamic weight management department. • Document patient care using EPIC EHR.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or a related field required; Master’s Degree preferred. • Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Massachusetts. • Experience in behavior modification counseling and group facilitation is highly desirable. • Prior experience with bariatric patients is preferred. • Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese or Spanish is a plus but not required.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dietitian to grow within a supportive, innovative environment that values collaboration and high-quality care.
