Job Description
PROGRAM COORDINATOR, Office of the Provost (https://provost.mit.edu/) -Institutional Research (IR) (https://ir.mit.edu/) , to coordinate and perform day-to-day operational activities for a dynamic and visible university organization, including administration, finance, and data and research support. Will work collaboratively with colleagues in IR and across campus, peer institutions, and external entities on a variety of high-value projects. Responsibilities include leading the administrative functions of IR; driving project management for select IR initiatives, typically those that involve coordination with a wide array of campus stakeholders and collaborators; and supporting IR’s mission of providing information to the campus community by maintaining the IR website and supporting access and permissions processes. Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least two years of administrative and/or project/program management experience; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; self-motivation and initiative; flexibility and comfort with ambiguity in a diverse organizational environment; proficiency with website maintenance and report writing; excellent organizational, administrative, time management, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills; ability to drive results, prioritize, and solve problems independently; ability to interact effectively with a wide range of constituencies and audiences, including senior management, project staff, users, and stakeholders; meticulous attention to detail; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, familiarity with databases and ensuring data integrity and accuracy, and an interest in maintaining computer skills; and experience maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. PREFERRED: some experience in a university administration setting.
