School Faculty of Arts and Sciences

Department/Area Organismic and Evolutionary Biology

Position Description

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher, with expertise in evolution and molecular genetics. We expect the postdoc to be able to work independently and contribute intellectually to broader research themes and directions in the lab. The postdoc will also collaborate with others in the lab who are generating novel data for experimental microbial, viral, and protein evolution (whole-genome sequences, yeast genetics, cloning).

Situated in the Northwest Labs, the Desai lab actively investigates questions in evolutionary biology, population genetics, and quantitative genetics. We are part of Harvard’s Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology and Department of Physics, which are vibrant communities of cross-disciplinary scientists at Harvard University.
