IT SECURITY ANALYST, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), to improve the security posture of the Institute through network monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, security awareness, and compliance-related work and utilize multiple technologies to detect and respond to security incidents, recommending appropriate controls to MIT community members to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in cybersecurity or another related field; a minimum of two years of information experience; experience with security tools (i.e., vulnerability scanners, endpoint detection and response, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Security Information & Event Management (SIEM), etc.); a working knowledge of security best practices, threats, exploits, and trends across platforms; understanding of networking and system administration concepts and commonlog types; understanding of common phishing techniques and experience analyzing email headers; and robust analytical skills and communication skills that support troubleshooting and problem solving. PREFERRED: Related security certification (i.e., CISSP); proficiency with scripting languages (i.e., Python, Ruby, PERL, etc.); and experience with ticketing systems (i.e., ServiceNow). Starting salary range: $115,000 - $125,000
