Our newest core asset, resulting from the acquisition of Provention Bio in General Medicines Autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes space, aims at delaying the onset of stage 3 type 1 diabetes. This means that for the first time, people at risk of developing this lifelong disease have fresh hope. What delayed onset means is more time for children to be children with less healthcare and more care-free childhood. The delay also gives families and healthcare professionals more time to prepare care plans for a later diagnosis.

As the Global Population Health Strategy Lead – you are an experienced and successful business leader who can flex across a breadth of leadership skills including strategic thinking, problem solving and business plan design through to execution. You have a history of strong performance in previous roles, you are an adaptable leader who can find a way to bring together and lead cross-functional teams to deliver positive outcomes for customers, patients, and Sanofi. You thrive on the challenge to do things differently, operate with ambiguity and find business solutions to new business challenges. You thrive in a space where there are no precedents and are comfortable and confident enough to shape old new ways forward. You are comfortable in both commercial and scientific discussions, have driven/built/implemented innovative strategies and solutions, have experience in brokering partnerships and ultimately are patient centric.

YOUR ROLE:

This role reports into the Global Head of Autoimmune Diabetes. You will be leading the global population health strategy to support the definition and implementation of country-level person-at-risk screening pathways in collaboration with internal subject matter experts and key stakeholders in the external ecosystem. You will work with countries and global functions to optimize the patient pathway from staging patients to therapeutic decisions and the infusion experience. The scope includes collaborating with other functions and country Population Health Strategy Leads to define strategic partnerships and investments with health authorities, scientific bodies, KOLs, and others to build consensus towards the adoption of national screening programs (currently white space in several countries) and execution of critical activities. Once the strategy is shaped, your role will be also to activate and co-ordinate approaches across several functions at both global and local level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Map the healthcare ecosystem: Profiles CoEs and infusion setups, Pediatricians’ and Endocrinologists’ roles in the healthcare system and maps current referral pathways

  • Defines optimal referral pathway strategy (incl. digital solutions) for seamless people at risk/ patient journeys across the healthcare system

  • Collaborates with the Global Early Detection Lead for alignment to the early detection strategy and ecosystem

  • Collaborates with the Global Patient Experience Lead to inform the end-to-end patient journey development from early-stage diagnosis through infusion

  • Defines KPIs to measure progress against targets

ABOUT YOU:

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Seasoned business leader with a strong background in national health initiatives, developing patient pathways, or launching products requiring novel population health monitoring/screening

  • Has contributed/ideated successful global launch experience in Specialty / Rare disease/ Type 1 Diabetes

  • Experience in building multi-stakeholder consortia that support innovative real-world clinical ecosystems

  • Robust experience with leading the large complex planning process, strategy, insights and analytics

  • Innovative mindset and comfort building whitespace initiatives

  • Strong financial acumen – experience with resource allocation, P&L management

  • Good communication skills, ability to communicate to audiences of varied sizes and levels

  • Strong PMO skills with the ability to lead, simplify and move at pace, large complex programs
