Aerotek Facilities Electrician in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Electrician to join our team at a cutting-edge pharmaceutical R&D facility in Cambridge, MA. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that supports innovative pharmaceutical research and development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in industrial and commercial facilities, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across the facility.
Install and maintain electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and backup power systems.
Ensure all electrical work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with facilities and engineering teams to support facility upgrades and improvements.
Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and resolve them proactively.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of automated control systems, including HVAC, security, and other facility-related systems.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and equipment.
Respond to electrical emergencies as needed, providing swift and efficient solutions.
Ensure proper safety protocols are followed at all times and actively participate in safety training and initiatives.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues with minimal disruption to operations.
Qualifications:
Journeyman Electrician’s License (Required).
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in industrial, commercial, or R&D environments.
Extensive knowledge of electrical codes, safety procedures, and regulations.
Experience with high-voltage systems, power distribution, lighting systems, and control systems.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Shift : 1st shift
Pay:
For a Journeyman: up to $55/hr
For a Master Electrician: up to $65/hr
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
