About the Role:

As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

Be responsible for electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.

Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.

Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.

Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.

Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.

Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish work you're leading and tackle routine problems.

Have a broad knowledge of own job field and some knowledge of several job fields within the function.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

Applies electrical code to troubleshoot and resolve basic electrical wiring / circuitry problems, install and repair electrical equipment and wiring, roughing in feeders, branch circuit cables and circuits, splice electric or communication cables/trunk lines, and trimming out (finishing) electrical devices.

Uses electrical test equipment, gauges, and other measuring devices to test electrical equipment.

Installs Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems per manufacturer's instructions. Performs device validation and system commissioning.

Performs assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as the need arises.

Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

Reviews historical maintenance records to develop proactive inspection, testing and preventive maintenance schedule.

Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. Journeyman Electrician license required as required by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.

Prior experience with DDC and EMS preferred.

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Understanding of existing procedures and standards to tackle slightly sophisticated problems.

Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive approach.

Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions

Competitive Pay

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Electrician position is $45.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the Electrician position is $55.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
