Director, AI Strategy and Partnerships - Medical Device (Cambridge, MA)
As the Director of AI Strategy and Partnerships for our Hospital Patient Monitoring business, you will lead our initiatives to develop scalable AI solutions, cultivate key relationships, establish strategic partnerships, and align technology with our business goals and customer needs.
Your role:
Work directly with customers to understand their needs and translate these needs into viable AI strategies and solutions. Develop and maintain relationships with data centers, hospital networks, and key stakeholders to build long-term partnerships and identify AI opportunities.
Partner with Hospital Patient Monitoring (HPM) business category leaders to integrate AI solutions into innovation roadmaps. Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and customer expectations.
Build and lead a cross-functional team, including AI engineers, data scientists, and business analysts. Define and communicate the AI strategy clearly.
Works closely with product development teams to implement the design, development, and deployment of AI-related technologies, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant. Collaborates with Philips central organizations to understand enterprise directives and aligns where strategically appropriate, while maintaining the independence of HPM initiatives.
Stay informed of AI industry trends to guide the evolution of AI initiatives. Advocate for ethical and effective AI practices that adhere to industry standards.
You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 10+ years of experience in AI strategy, with leadership experience in cross-functional teams with a strong technical background in AI frameworks and experience translating complex technical requirements into business value.
You have demonstrated success in managing partnerships with external organizations, such as data centers and hospital networks and you have strong experience with customer relationship management and effective communication of technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
You have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field (Master’s degree in AI, Business Administration, or equivalent field preferred) and certifications in AI, ML, or strategic partnerships would be beneficial.

You’re able to perform occasional travel (up to 30%) to engage with customers, attend industry events, and support partnership activities at various locations.
How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details:
The pay range for this position in Massachusetts is $178,000 to $306,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
