DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE, STRATEGIC INITIATIVES AND MARKET INSIGHTS, Development Planning & Initiatives , is an integral member of the Development Planning and Initiatives (DPI) team. Will play an active role in the development and management of fundraising strategy plans and priorities, serving as a lead project manager for the department and interfacing with a wide variety of colleagues across Resource Development (RD),faculty, and staff from across the Institute and have a direct and meaningful impact on the successful achievement of goals associated with the Institute’s highest fundraising priorities and endeavors.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience; robust initiative and excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team, in a fast-paced, and complex environment; ability to perform with accuracy, high quality, and attention to detail; experience managing complex projects and multi-stakeholder business processes with strong planning, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills; excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to build strong working relationships with others of diverse background and skills and to work with confidential information with discretion; demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Outlook, Zoom, Trello, Slack, or similar tools, and data management, query, and retrieval with relational databases; and ability to become proficient in new technologies and systems as needed. PREFERRED: experience in an educational setting and knowledge of nonprofit sector philanthropy, fundraising, prospect development, or volunteer management practices; and demonstrated experience with project, timeline, and process management, including experience with project management approaches, methodologies, software, and tools.
