Senior Finance Manager
The Senior Finance Manager within the Group finance function, working within the group team to manage the preparation of the consolidated reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders within the group.
Key Accountabilities
Reporting to the Group Reporting Director, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Responsibility for the preparation of the AVEVA group consolidated results for monthly internal reporting and group reporting to Schneider Electric in line with the group reporting timetable:
Balance sheet control and analysis to meet group requirements.
Performing trend analysis and enhanced commentary on a consolidated basis
Working closely with the finance operations team, regional heads of finance and internal audit to improve processes and controls around the financial reporting close, including:
system validations;
COA design;
automation;
reconciliations;
review processes; and
change management.
Support alignment activities between Schneider and AVEVA for all financial reporting requirements
Assist in preparation of group reporting manual to provide guidance and training throughout the reporting process
Supporting the external audit process, interacting with the audit team, and providing relevant documentation
Measures of Success
To support the wider Group Accounting team objectives. These include:
Ensuring that consolidated group financial statements are prepared in accordance with IFRS standards in line with the prescribed timelines
Ensuring that all consolidation adjustments are calculated accurately and documented to an auditable standard
Being seen as a valuable source of support to controllers to help achieve reporting deadlines and report in accordance with group policies
Implement new structures, processes and controls that drive operational effectiveness in the organisation, balancing the need for accuracy, timeliness and control
Skills and Qualifications
Accounting qualification or similar
Desirable experience in Schneider OPUS (HFM) and other tools
Experience of implementing systems and/or process change
Building relationships quickly/interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Organised and able to balance conflicting priorities
Capable of managing time and meeting deadlines
Collaborative, with good communications skills
High attention to detail
Confident, motivated self-starter
Able to comply with documented processes and procedures
