Amazon Principal PM, Quality Uplift, AGI Data Services - Data Quality in Cambridge, United Kingdom
Description
Amazon's AGI Data Services organization is hiring a Principal Program Manager of Quality Uplift for its Data Quality business unit. The purpose of the role is to execute quality improvement strategies across the network of data associates that are part of AGI Data Services, ultimately providing a high-quality product that can be produced at an industry-competitive cost. Come be part of an initiative that is critical to building and improving the just-launched Amazon Nova foundational models!
Today, AGI Data Services produces tens of millions of units of human-created data that is used to train and fine-tune large language models. These data must be evaluated based on whether they were generated following the conventions defined by the workflow, on dimensions such as complexity, correctness, helpfulness and harmfulness. Filtering out high quality data from low quality is of paramount importance, as it maximizes our chances of improving performance of the model under test.
To achieve this objective, the Data Quality organization is responsible for auditing individual units of data, as well as building an automated system using a large language model to predict and filter high quality units of data from low. The Principal Program Manager of Quality Uplift is the single-threaded owner that defines, executes, tracks and reports on the initiatives that uplift quality within the AGI Data Services operation. They will partner with our network of Quality Auditors and Quality Specialists in eight countries around the world to understand top root causes for failures and develop a strategy for addressing these. They will use quality measurements to derive insights and partner directly with groups within the AGI Data Services worldwide network to determine which regions, sites and teams need certain interventions applied. They will trade off quality initiatives not just in terms of obtaining highest measurement but also the speed and cost of delivering the programs.
