Job Title: Production PlannerJob Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up weekly production schedules, managing inventory, and working closely with various departments to ensure accurate and efficient production planning.
Responsibilities
Set up weekly production by selecting components to fulfill the bill of materials (BOM) utilizing the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method and minimizing surplus.
Establish lot numbers and expiration dates.
Accountable for day-to-day activities required to create and maintain detailed production/supply schedules based on the master schedule.
Input production orders and consumption inventory into software (Microsoft NAV).
Work with the production team to collect daily outputs and consumption to update KPI’s.
Manage inventory and make necessary adjustments in NAV.
Manage levels of building necessities, working with purchasing to keep them stocked.
Interact with technical support, customer service, sales, and the repair team to update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with accurate information.
Input and keep track of the repairs and location of all instruments in CRM.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in business or a technical field, or equivalent education and work experience.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in planning or production coordination.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use discretion and independent judgment.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Close attention to detail.
Ability to adapt and flex to a changing environment.
Ability to lift/carry 20 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Dynamic CRM is desirable.
Experience with MRP, specifically with NAV, is desirable.
Work Environment
The work environment consists of a 2-person office setting with business casual attire. The position offers flexible hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30/4:00 PM, operating on the first shift. The workspace includes dual screens to facilitate productivity.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00
