Account Manager – Captive & Insurance Management (Cayman Islands)

The Account Manager will be primarily responsibility for the preparation and management of financial statements for several captive insurance and reinsurance companies and coordination of the year-end audit of these companies. In addition, the Senior Account Manager will be responsible for the supervision of assistant accountants on specific client assignments. The role will require an elevated level of interaction with outside agencies and client supervisors and some cases, the Account Manager will be responsible to function as the primary contact for captive and reinsurance clients.

What the day will look like

  • Inputting of incoming insurance cessions

  • Inputting of premiums, claims, and reserves

  • Maintaining cash book

  • Preparation of bank reconciliation

  • Settlement of accounts receivable and accounts payable

  • Updating investment schedules

  • Calculating and preparation of accounting accrual entries

  • Preparation of management financial statements

  • Preparation of quarterly management reports

  • Coordination of financial statement audit

  • Presentations to captive Board of Directors

  • Preparation of financial forecasts and budgets

  • Authorization of payments

  • Analysis and recommendation on complex financial transactions

  • Projects and assignments as assigned

  • The position is responsible for supervision and training of assistant accountants for various clients.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, and prior client management experience is highly desirable
