Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a Logistics Assistant in Calvert City, KY . This is for a long term temporary opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career. As a Logistics Assistant you will assist with purchase orders, use SAP to confirm shipments, maintain and coordinate shipping schedule with Foreman. Responsibilities for this Logistics Assistant job include:

• Coordinate all drum/IBS loads with carriers (outbound and some inbound)

• Tender loads utilizing TMS (Transportation Management System)

• Maintain and coordinate shipping schedule with Foreman

• Prepare Bills of Ladings

• Print export, domestic and customer specific labels

• Use SAP to confirm shipments

• Assist with purchase orders, receiving, etc.

• Occasional weekend and/or overtime as required

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma, must be able to provide a copy

• 1-3 years in supporting shipping

• 49CFR, IATA and IMDG certifications or be able to obtain

• Must be highly proficient with email, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint

• Highly organized and self motivated

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs routinely

• PPE must be worn as instructed

• Ability to multi-task with excellent interpersonal skills

• SAP experience, SAP and accounting practices is highly desirable

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
